Privacy Policy

Karya Pravah, LLC is committed to protecting your personal data and right to privacy.  This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how Karya Pravah, LLC. (“Karya Pravah” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses personal data we collect from you when you use our Taskport™ mobile application (“App”) or website at www.karyapravah.com (“Website”).  The App and Website are hosted in the United States and are intended for users in the United States.  This Policy does not apply to websites or applications run by third parties, and you should reference the respective third-party privacy policies for information on how they collect and use your data.

What data do we collect?
Karya Pravah may collect the following types of “personal data,” which means information which is related to an identified or identifiable natural person:

  • Personal identification information, such as your first and/or last name, email address, mailing address, phone number, etc. 
  • User account names and passwords. 
  • Computer, device, and technical information, such as your device and usage information including Internet Protocol addresses and location, or other unique personal identifiers such as cookies and beacons. 
  • Geolocation data, which you may choose to not share at any time. 
  • Information about your characteristics and activities, including information that may be considered “sensitive data” under certain data privacy laws, including information relating to your religious activities or physical health (such as details regarding doctors’ appointments) that you choose to provide when utilizing the App.  Such information is not shared or sold to any third parties, and you may remove the information from the App at any time. 
  • Data you choose to import by connecting third-party accounts, such as email content, contacts, and calendar events from a connected Google account.

How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Karya Pravah with most of the data we collect, such as personal identification information when you create an account with us. We may also collect data when you access or use the App or Website, including via your browser’s cookies or through other technology used on the device you use to access the App or Website

How do we use your data?
Karya Pravah collects and uses data for legitimate business purposes, such as in order to:

  • Provide products and services to you that you request or download, such as the App and Website, and to manage your user account. 
  • Communicate with you, such as responding to your requests or questions, delivering our App and Website to you, or sharing important information or updates with you. 
  • Support our business functions, such as improving our products and services, such as the App, or detecting and repairing system performance issues, etc.

Connecting Google and other third-party accounts
Taskport lets you connect your own third-party accounts — including Google (Gmail, Google Contacts, and Google Calendar) — so the App can bring your email, contacts, and calendar into one place. When you connect a Google account, you authorize Taskport, through Google’s standard consent screen, to access only the data needed for the features you use:

  • Gmail (read) – Taskport reads your email messages to automatically extract tasks, events, and contacts for you. This extraction is performed by automated systems, not by manual human review.
  • Gmail (send) – When you compose or reply to an email inside Taskport, it is sent through your own connected Gmail account. Taskport’s own system emails are sent through a separate provider, not through your Gmail.
  • Google Contacts (read and write) – Taskport imports your contacts and contact groups, and writes back contacts you create or edit in Taskport.
  • Google Calendar (read and write) – Taskport imports your calendar events, and writes back events you create or edit in Taskport.

Google API Services User Data Policy — Limited Use.
Taskport’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained from Gmail, Google Contacts, and Google Calendar is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above. Taskport does not (a) transfer or sell this data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, for security, or to comply with law; (b) use it for advertising; or (c) allow humans to read it, except with your explicit consent, for security or abuse-prevention purposes, to comply with law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymized.

Retention and deletion of connected-account data.
Raw data downloaded from Google’s APIs (including raw Gmail message content) is encrypted at rest and automatically purged after a limited period (currently 30 days). Imported email content is retained at most three years, measured from the email’s own date. Disconnecting Google revokes access and deletes the email content and calendar events imported from that account; imported contacts are retained as part of your people graph unless you delete them. Deleting your Taskport account permanently removes all of it.

How do we store your data?
Karya Pravah has implemented and maintains reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect the security of your personal data.  However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your data, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, or modify your data.  Thus, you should only access the App and Website within a secure environment, and any provision or transmission of personal data to and from the App and Website  is at your own risk. 

What are your consumer rights?

  • Right to access – Consumers may request that Karya Pravah provide them access to and copies of their personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • Right to correct – Consumers may request that Karya Pravah correct, complete, or update any information they believe is inaccurate. 
  • Right to delete – Consumers may request that Karya Pravah delete their personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to restrict certain uses – Consumers may object to Karya Pravah’s processing of their personal data and/or request that Karya Pravah restrict the processing of their personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Right to data portability – Consumers may request that Karya Pravah transfer the data that we have collected from them to another organization or to them, under certain conditions.

Cookies.
Cookies are small text files placed on your devices to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. When you access the App or Website, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology.  Such information may be used, for example, to optimize the functionality of our websites, to help us understand how our websites and services are used, and to keep you signed into your account. 

There are a number of different types of cookies, and the App and Website may utilize functionality cookies, such as cookies that allow us to recognize you and remember your previously selected preferences.  In many cases, you can disable certain cookies, but this may result in some of the features available in the App or on the Website not functioning. 

Children’s Privacy.
The App and Website are only intended for users over age 13 or users 13 or younger who are using the App or Website with parental consent.  Karya Pravah does not knowingly collect any information from any individual 13 years of age or under without parental consent. If you are 13 years of age or younger and using Karya Pravah’s App or Website, please ask a parent or guardian before providing any personal data.  Karya Pravah does not sell or share the personal data of any user of its App or Website, including the information of any users age 13 or under.
